Solving this set of Pips puzzles felt like a really satisfying logic workout. I started with the Easy puzzle by looking at the target sums first; for example, the regions needing a total of 3 were a great jumping-off point since I only had a few dominoes to work with like the 1-1 and 0-0.

Medium puzzle, things got more interesting with those Unequal and Empty regions.
I tackled the sum of 17 first because that is such a high number it really limits which pips can go there, narrowing down my choices for the 6-6 or 6-2 dominoes. The sum of 0 was another easy win since that had to be the 0 pips.

For the Hard puzzle, the scale definitely jumped up. I immediately looked for the massive sum regions, like the one requiring 24 across four cells.
That is a huge total, so I knew I had to pack it with my highest dominoes like the 6-6 and 5-6. After securing those high-value spots, I worked my way through the smaller sum regions and the Equals region, which acted like a bridge connecting different parts of the grid. It took some back-and-forth shifting of the 4-4 and 4-5 dominoes to make sure every single region rule was satisfied without leaving any gaps, but eventually, everything clicked into place perfectly.
What I Learned
One of the biggest things I picked up from today is how much the high-sum regions dictate the entire board. In the Hard puzzle, that sum of 24 is so restrictive that it basically forces your hand, and once those big dominoes are gone, the rest of the puzzle actually becomes easier because your inventory is smaller.
I also realized that Empty regions are just as important as the ones with numbers; they act as barriers that help define the shape of where your dominoes can actually sit. A tricky move I found was managing the Unequal regions in the Medium puzzle; it is easy to accidentally put the same number in both spots if you are just focusing on the sums elsewhere, so I had to double-check those specifically before finishing.
